The Photographer’s Biographical Overview

I was born into an Air Force family that lived all over the United States and always took summer trips to the far corners of the USA to see the wonderful national parks and monuments.  At an early age, I was given a small camera to capture my memories and upon graduation from high school was given my first 35mm Camera.  It was love at first sight/touch and then the real adventure began.

I had planned to go to college in Tampa, Florida majoring in art education but a twist of fate had me starting college in Louisiana and then becoming a physical education teacher and coach instead of an art teacher.

After getting my Masters of Education degree at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro,  I began my teaching career at West Carteret High School in Morehead City,  NC,  and fell in love with the area of eastern North Carolina.  Since the teaching and coaching kept me so busy,  I was not able to find the time for my regular art pursuits, therefore I learned to follow my creative outlets through the lens of my camera.  Photography always was a part of my life and the exploration of the wonderful scenes that are everywhere around me became one of my passions.

Family portraits, children's portraits, and high school senior portraits on the beach are my speciality since I live in such a beautiful beach area of NC.  Other photographic endeavors include weddingphotography, event photography, sports photography, and commercial photography for builders and realtors. My true love, though,  is fine art photography of the beauty in the world around me.

I love working with people and helping them receive the photographic services that they desire, whether it is for portraits for their family and home, wedding services, event photography,  and especially the photographic art of landscapes, seascapes and nature for their home decor.
